I hiked the Crabtree Falls loop with the (following Tim's nomenclature) youngest daughter of environmental economics (ydee) on Friday. The Falls were very crowded but if you actually do the 1.7 miles of the 2.5 mile loop (instead of heading back the way you came), you are all alone. My western NC waterfalls book actually suggests avoiding the loop (what?). The first video is Crabtree Falls and the second is a smaller waterfall ("lesser crabtree falls") that you miss if you go back the way you came.
