Sometimes a comment needs its own post.  In response to my request for Nobel Prize predictions, Maarten Punt commented:

I believe the name Martin Weitzman has been mentioned in previous rounds, so perhaps it's his turn this year.

Or of course you two for showing that environmental economics is well worth blogging about.

Too bad we cannot vote online, we could have mobilized the online community (or rig the contest for that matter).

While I cannot speak for John, and I have no idea how the nomination process works–or if a nomination process even exists–I would gladly welcome the nomination and willingly provide any supporting materials necessary.  Of course, I hve no delusions of thinking we would win, but I would welcome the opportunity to refer to myself as "Nobel-nominated Economist Tim Haab."  My mom would be proud.

We could be the first grassroots Nobel winners.  Let's go env-econers.  Rise up and be heard!
