Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee shared in a classic college experience this week:
His car was towed.Gee had been playing darts on Tuesday with an OSU senior and her friends who had invited him to
Mamas Pasta & Brew, east of N. High Street near 15th Avenue, when he went to get his car from a
nearby university lot just before 8:30 p.m. It was gone.“I didn’t have my special sticker,” Gee explained yesterday. “It was silly really, but it all
worked out.”Gee said he retrieved his car from a private Shamrock Towing Co. lot. He didn’t say if he had to
pay. The next morning, he tweeted about the experience:“Fun night! Trying to decide which was the more quintessential college experience: Throwing
darts, or realizing my car got towed. #GoodTimes.”“What can I say? It’s given everyone, including me, a good laugh,” Gee said with a sheepish
grin.
