We spent the last couple of days on South Bass Island in Lake Erie (Put-In-Bay). Put-In-Bay is known as the launch port for the Battle of Lake Erie–a turning point in the War of 1812, and also known as a cheap spring break type hangout for mid-westerners. I'll let you be the judge of which reason we went.
The last meal I had on the island I decided to go with a Lake Erie theme and ordered the Walleye Sandwich (lightly battered and fried) and the Great Lakes Brewing Company Dortmunder. Both good choices.
