I'm in College Station, Texas for a few days. Driving around town I noticed something odd (and it isn't the fact that somehow these people elected Rick Perry to office). Here's the oddity:
Average gas price in Columbus, Ohio: $3.26
Average gas price in College Station, Texas: $3.45

Gasbuddy.com data says that the oddity isn’t that odd. While College Station prices are on average a little lower than Columbus, Columbus prices regularly dip below College Station for a few days at a time. -
that probably reflects the price of landlocked WTI oil delivered to midwest refineries…gulf coast refineries have to use imported brent crude, almost $20 more..

That’s nothing. I’ve got diesel prices at $4.29/gallon 4 blocks from a station with diesel at $3.79/gallon.
